Re: Windows Project Preparation: Tennis Court Parking lot
As you know, installation of the hurricane windows will begin later this month. In order to provide the required work area to the contractor and to minimize its visual impact on our community, the tennis court parking lot will be dedicated to the contractor for the two years + life of the project beginning March 12.
Next week, the contractor, Complete General Contracting Group, will begin setting up its operations in the far end of the tennis court parking lot to prepare for windows installation mid month. You can expect containers storing windows, a dumpster for construction debris, tool storage, a small office, and a picnic table. They will install a security fence through the parking lot on the west side of the canopy/entrance to the tennis courts.
Access to the entrance to the tennis courts will be unchanged-you can still walk through the Towers side of the parking lot to the tennis court as you do now. However, parking in the whole tennis court lot will not be available starting this Sunday, March 11th, to residents and visitors until completion of the project.
During the project, all contractor related deliveries and pickups will be to this area. Small trucks or forklifts will bring in the windows from Crandon Blvd, As usual, no 18 wheelers will be allowed on the premises. Contractor workmen will be bused in by van. Contractor owned golf carts will be used to move windows to the base of the building as necessary. The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the area in a neat, clean and workmanlike manner.
Dedicating these parking spaces the windows project will tax our already strained parking situation. We are working on new options to minimize the impact; you will hear about these shortly. If you would like to guarantee parking for your 2d car or golf cart, you can contact the management office to rent one of 7 rental spaces currently available.
Complete will also remove all remaining hurricane shutters from the sliding glass doors on our balconies during the course of the windows project. They will do this using scaffolding to access balconies and will not need to enter apartments.
The schedule for windows installation and shutter removal will be provided by email in the coming weeks.
In order to most effectively answer your concerns, a special email address has been established for all Windows Project related issues. If you have any questions on the windows project, including the removal of shutters, please contact tkbwindowproject@gmail.com.
Thank you,
