New Guest Parking Rules

Dear Residents,

 

The TKB Board has recently enacted a series of new rules intended to address the problem of frequent lack of parking spaces for TKB guests. The specific rules are available via this link http://www.tkbonline.com/new-guest-parking-rules. They were also shared with owners, along with the basis of these recommendations that were made by the Parking Committee, in the notes from that Committee distributed several weeks ago.
These new rules, which will go into effect November 1st, can be summarized as:
    1. We shall create a block of Guest Parking spaces that are for the exclusive use of guests of TKB residents. That block of spaces will be located in the south side of the guest parking lot (facing the building), which shall be clearly marked as “Visitor Parking Only“. There will initially be approximately 40 of these spaces, but shall be adjusted from time to time to ensure that there are always at least 5 available spaces in our Guest Parking area for guests.
    2. All Guests, upon passing through our security gate, will be given dated placards for display on their dashboard when using the dedicated spaces. Parking violators will be booted or towed at the owner’s expense.
    3. Golf Carts and Motorcycles in the Guest Parking area shall only be allowed to park in the designated Golf Cart parking spaces.
    4. No additional motor vehicles will be registered to owners unless they have the use of a specific garage parking space for that vehicle.
    5. Management shall continue to pursue opportunities that might allow us to more effectively optimize the utilization of parking availability within the garage.
    6. Residents should also be reminded that we are also setting aside approximately 16 spaces for the exclusive use of visitors to our new restaurant. These spaces shall also be clearly marked as “Restaurant Parking Only“. At the same time,  we will shortly have the use of approximately 20 of the spaces that have been used by the Windows Project for the past several years, which should alleviate some of the pressure on the limited supply of TKB Guest Parking.
