An e-mail was sent out yesterday notifying residents that a contractor who frequently works in the building had tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The purpose of the e-mail was to notify and encourage residents to take concrete steps to minimize personal risk of exposure for yourselves and the community. Since the e-mail went out we have received a number of calls from concerned residents who were unclear or did not read the information provided. We encourage residents to please read the information carefully to avoid misunderstandings. To that end we want to clarify a few points that we feel would help clear the confusion:
The person that tested positive for the Covid-19 virus was Jonah Carbonell, NOT to be confused with his father Jose Carbonell who also works throughout the building.
Jose Carbonell has not been in contact or in close proximity to his son since prior to Jonah Carbonell’s trip where he contracted the virus. So there is no risk of the virus being transmitted to him by his son.
As stated on the prior e-mail, Jonah Carbonell last known date of having been on property was February 28th, 2020 prior to his trip.
The CDC and said contractor are on a daily calling schedule till he has no symptoms. Once he show no symptoms he will be tested twice and must provided negative results both times. Till then he will remain in quarantine.
