Dear Owners, As we hope you are aware, last week the Board authorized the Temporary Rules pertaining to construction in units. As was explained in the email sent on May 13th, they were drafted with the intent of minimizing both risk and inconvenience to residents while allowing construction within units as per Village regulations. Although the Temporary Rules were proposed in response to the Village’s Amendment 2 of Emergency Order 20-5, and the Village has chosen to allow that order to lapse, we will still require all contractors who work in units at the Towers to operate within those rules, which are available on the TKB website or by request from the Management Office. You have probably also seen that the County, and endorsed by the Village, has announced the next phase of “the New Normal”. allowing many businesses to re-open under well defined restrictions. You have seen that the Beauty Salon in TKB announced that they will reopen May 21st. Please note that the County has not yet authorized the reopening of recreational facilities, including pools and gyms, nor beaches, in this phase of reopening. While these most recent updates to County and City guidelines, of course, prompt a natural pivot in the way we are cleaning and sanitizing our public spaces, we would be remiss if we were not to note that we are also grateful that our residents are sharing their feedback and concerns, as that is an integral part of this process – for all of us. We are adjusting what we are doing, as appropriate and if necessary, in real time – and are committed to communicate that with our residents as we go. The TKB Sanitation Program will continue to concentrate on high touch areas. Specifically, cleaning throughout the day with approved products such areas as the lobby counters and surfaces (note the new glass partitions that have been installed in front of the lobby desks for the safety of our residents and staff), elevator buttons, trash room doors and handles, and emergency exit door handles and stair railings. In closing, we appreciate your patience as we work through these incredibly challenging times. It will only be with your input and feedback that we come through this crisis together. Stay Safe Joe Maura |
