Dear Owners and Residents,

Two of our Receiving Department staff members, Elpidio and Enrique, informed us that they have tested positive for Coronavirus. Both employees have not been at the Towers since Friday, July 3rd. Elpidio and Enrique will be quarantining at home until they receive a negative test result and receipt of medical clearance.

We have asked all Receiving Department and other staff members with whom Elpidio or Enrique has come in contact to quarantine at home until they receive a negative Covid test result, or for 14 days from the last day Elpidio or Enrique were at the Towers. Both employees have agreed to disclose their names so that residents who may have been in close contact with him during the last 14 days may take appropriate precautions. The CDC defines close contact as “someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes.”

TEMPORARY RECEIVING DEPARTMENT HOURS AND PROCEDURES:

• We have sent our Receiving Department staff home to self-quarantine. At this time, it is anticipated that the Receiving Department will remain close for the remainder of this week. During this time packages will be processed at the lobby reception desks.
• The Receiving Department has undergone a deep sanitizing, and we are enhancing the sanitization procedures related to the delivery of all packages.
• Effective tomorrow, we are asking all residents to pick up their packages at the reception desk in their building within 24 hours after receiving notice that a package has been delivered for them. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
• Packages will be sprayed with disinfectant before being handed off to its owner.
• Packages must be picked up within 2 days without exception, or we will need to return to sender. Please appreciate that the number of packages delivered to TKB has increased by almost 50% in the last few months. Your assistance in retrieving packages as soon as possible will be critical in alleviating a backlog and managing our limited space resources.
• If there is a reason a resident is unable to pick up a package and delivery to the unit is necessary, please contact the reception desk in your building (Tower 1 at 305-361-7046 and Tower 2 at 305-361-9116). Such requests shall authorize the package to be sprayed with disinfectant, a staff member will knock on your door and leave the package on the floor. You assume the responsibility for such packages once they are delivered to your door.
