Dear fellow residents,
Last week, I wrote about gratitude for our TKB staff who are working to keep our lives safe. We have been touched to observe residents reaching out to thank them, and residents and staff who have reached out to help others in ways large and small.
While examples of sympathy, kindness and empathy surround us, we’re troubled to see that foul language and aggressive behavior are also appearing. Residents whose anxiety has bubbled to the surface are displaying actions that are disappointing, rude and insulting to others. We suggest everyone take a deep breath, think about the special circumstances we are all facing, and be mindful before reacting to fellow owners and staff. We strongly condemn uncivil acts neighbor to neighbor and resident to staff and hope common sense and everyone’s good nature will prevail.
We always encourage you to bring your concern to TKB management attention rather than taking individual action. This is particularly important now, but please recognize that their response time may be affected by priorities of the current situation. Safety is our highest priority. Our Staff’s mission is keeping our residents and property as safe and functional as possible, at the same time minimizing the risk to them, as well.
We would also like to clarify that the Association is embracing COVID-19 safety guidelines and as such is granting an exception so shoes can be left at the doorway. This exception does not apply to other objects beyond food deliveries awaiting your prompt pickup.
Let’s seize every opportunity to make this the best of times we can be for our neighbors, staff and ourselves.
